PURE

From 1986 to 1987, together with four other colleagues, Ciro Quintana, Ermy Taño, Lázaro Saavedra, myself and Adriano Buergo (left to right) we founded the artistic group known as Pure’.

Pure’ contributed to the Cuban cultural scene by innovating in the aesthetic concepts of assembling, co-creating works together, incorporating themes of social criticism and popular culture. My contribution was to give perceptive onto women’s issues within Cuban society that needed to be heard.
